Accountants (English: Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, referred to as Hong Kong Institute of CPAs or HKICPA; formerly known as Hong Kong Society of Accountants, referred to as HKSA, changed to its current name on September 8, 2004) is based in Hong Kong Cap. 50 of the Professional Accountants Ordinance, established on 1 January 1973. It is the only statutory professional accountant registration organization in Hong Kong, which is responsible for supervising, training and developing the accounting profession in Hong Kong.
